Meet the management team of Elephant®Play, a commercial playground equipment company:
Serge Morin
Serge Morin, an industrial designer by education, has gained extensive knowledge of the playground manufacturing industry. He holds diverse experience in architecture, safety standards, management, and design. He has patented several product designs over the years, and is heavily involved with defining new safety standards for new types of playground equipment..
Serge’s academic credentials include a degree in Environmental Design from the University of Québec in Montréal (UQAM). He subsequently taught at the design school with UQAM. Serge holds the Canada Prize for Research from the Montreal Institute of Design for the development of commercial playground equipment. With careful craftsmanship and a constant flair for innovation, Serge continues to develop new and safe play structure designs.
Yvan Cinq-Mars
As co-president of Elephant®Play, Yvan Cinq-Mars has worked in product engineering for over 20 years. He holds experience in management, automation, and quality assurance. Formally trained as a mechanic, he has developed an aptitude for machine operation that has been fundamental to the development of Elephant®Play’s dynamic play structure designs.
Before co-founding Elephant®Play, Yvan worked in product development with Rolls Royce. He holds further work experience in product engineering with Héroux-Devtek, a Canadian company specializing in the design, development, and manufacturing of aerospace and industrial products. Yvan's diverse experience in mechanics and engineering ensures that Elephant®Play commercial playground equipment is always efficient, safe, and of the highest quality.
Alfredo Cárdenas
An industrial designer by education, Alfredo Cárdenas began his career designing POP Products in Chile. From 2004 to 2006, work in consulting roles for MCCL Wood Impregnated to conceive playground products, at the same time he work teaching computer aided design in the Lagos University; and also multimedia design in the Baldor institute. From 2007 to 2008 he led the design department to the Museum of Natural History in Valparaiso. After consulting roles to independents in Montréal, in June 2010 was appointed industrial designer for Elephant®Play
